A SPEAKING COMPANION FOR DEMENTIA

A light left on,
for the long hours alone.

Felinar is a warm, patient voice that talks with your loved one. It remembers their family, their songs and the places they grew up, so the day is never spent in silence.

In private trial · English, Română & Deutsch

THE HARDEST PART

Dementia is so often lived in silence.

Family cannot always be in the room. The hours in between stretch long and heavy, and the loneliness of them is its own kind of harm. Memory may fade, but the need for company, for a familiar voice and a kind ear, never does.

Felinar sits in that gap, so the day has a voice in it, even on the days you cannot be there.

FOR THE CARER, TOO

Time to breathe, while they are in good company.

Caring for someone with dementia rarely lets up, and when it falls to one person, the days run long. Felinar can keep your loved one engaged and content for an hour or two, so you can rest, eat a proper meal, sleep, or simply sit down for a while.

Protecting your own energy is part of looking after them well. It guards against the exhaustion and compassion fatigue that build when no one gives you a break, and it helps you keep going.

HOW FELINAR WORKS

Three gentle steps. Then it simply listens.

01

You tell us about them

A short, gentle profile: their family and friends, the songs they love, where they grew up, the things to lean into and the things to avoid. Skip anything. Come back to it whenever you like.

02

We set up their companion

A private companion, named by you, speaking their language in a warm, natural voice. Set up for them on a tablet, ready before you hand it over. Theirs alone, no one else's.

03

They simply talk

It starts on its own, with no buttons to press. It listens without rushing, remembers what matters, and is there whenever the day feels long.

WHY IT FEELS DIFFERENT

Built, line by line, to be kind.

Remembers what matters

Their people, their stories, their favourite music, woven into conversation so they feel known and held in mind.

No buttons, ever

It starts itself and stays on. Nothing to press, nothing to set up. Made for hands that find devices hard.

Their language, their voice

English, Romanian and German, in a warm and human voice that speaks slowly and clearly, with more languages to come.

Never tests, never argues

It will not quiz their memory or correct them. It meets confusion with warmth, grounded in validation-based care.

Music, poems and photos

It can play the radio, read a poem aloud, or show a slideshow of family photographs, all chosen ahead of time by you.

Tender subjects, your way

You decide how hard moments, like a loved one who has passed, are handled. Felinar follows your lead, gently and consistently.

PRIVACY & SAFETY

Private. Safe. Theirs alone.

This is a person at their most vulnerable. We treat their words, and their dignity, accordingly.

A home of their own

Every family gets a private, separate Felinar. Your loved one's life and conversations are never pooled or mixed with anyone else's. Their world stays their world.

A window for the family

A simple, private view of how they are doing, with a gentle alert if a conversation suggests they are upset or in distress.

Conversations kept with care

Conversations are recorded privately, for the family's peace of mind and for safeguarding, with deliberate limits on how long they are kept.

Grounded in living research

We continuously evaluate peer-reviewed research on dementia-friendly dialogue and fold it into how Felinar speaks: never confrontational, always respectful, and genuinely engaging, rooted in cognitive stimulation therapy and validation therapy.

"Felinar began with one family, and one grandmother. We are opening it, carefully, to a few more."

For families, carers and care homes.

Bring Felinar to someone you love.

We are welcoming a small number of new families into the trial. Tell us a little about your situation, and we will set up a Felinar and walk you through it, at no cost during the trial.
